Hi — I'm Megan.
I build digital products and services in the kinds of industries where the stakes are real — regulated, complicated, and consequential — and where a better experience genuinely impacts someone's life.
Off the clock, I've lived in New Jersey my whole life and love it, spend a lot of time in the garden, throw the occasional pot, and share my house with a pack of very good, very scruffy dogs.
The long version
A lifelong student of people.
I fell in love with psychology in high school and never really left. It shaped what I studied at Rutgers, it shaped my first jobs, and — even when the title on my business card kept changing — it has quietly been the through-line of my entire career. Understanding how people actually think, decide, and behave is the part of the work I find endlessly interesting.
That's why I've gravitated toward building digital experiences — products that people actually touch, use, and think through. Products that both mimic the way we think and influence it. The work I love most sits in mission-driven, highly regulated spaces where the stakes are real and good design is hardest to make real. I care deeply about the healthcare industry, but the pattern repeats across financial services, insurance, nonprofits, and public service: real constraints, real consequences, and people navigating systems that were rarely designed with them in mind. Lately, I've been focused on building products that improve people's health outcomes and the journey of their healthcare experience. Those are the types of problems and solutions I want to spend my time on.
The same instinct shows up outside of work. I have volunteered with people at the end of life as a companion and as a facilitator to preserving the stories they want to leave behind — different context, same thread. Just being present, paying attention, and making a hard moment a little bit easier. I'm also a longtime activist for environmental sustainability, inclusivity, and criminal justice reform, mostly through nonprofit work and grassroots organizing.
Outside of work
Home, garden, and a lot of good dogs.
Most of life happens close to home: on the water, in the garden, or somewhere within earshot of the dogs. The garden has been part therapy and part small produce stand since 2012, the pottery wheel turns out jewel-toned pieces with very few rules, and a steady diet of sci-fi and long hikes keeps the quieter rhythm full.
The household is largely run by two dogs, Layla and Dexter, while my first dog, Hossen, is still very much part of the family — the one who taught me most of what I know about being a good human to a good dog.
When I leave home, I chase adventure travel — the kind that resets you and rearranges what you think you know. Tanzania, Portugal, Belize, Reykjavik, and a growing list of places I've fallen in love with. Then, if I'm lucky, I come back to a cup of decaf in the morning, a good audiobook in my ears, and a steak on the grill as the sunsets.
